GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 763826
[HighContrast(|Inverse)] menu of a GtkComboBoxText is misplaced
Last modified: 2018-02-10 08:24:29 UTC
Created attachment 324201 [details] Screenshot. Not sure it’s a theme problem, but as that’s working correctly on Adwaita… When using HighContrast/HighContrastInverse themes, the menu of a GtkComboxBoxText (“combobox window”?) is misplaced, too much on the right.
works fine here
It’s on master, using Wayland.
Ah, so works fine here with X11
And this is fine with Adwaita?
Oh, just understood that the problem is not related to the widget as I was thinking, but to the fact that it’s neer the border of my screen… so the bug is probably misplaced, probably a Mutter thing?
I would say it is some form of miscommunication between mutter and gtk about menu placement
I've seen the placement of the completion window in GtkSourceView off by a small amount as well.
We're moving to gitlab! As part of this move, we are moving bugs to NEEDINFO if they haven't seen activity in more than a year. If this issue is still important to you and still relevant with GTK+ 3.22 or master, please reopen it and we will migrate it to gitlab.
There’s a similar menu misplacement issue with both Adwaita and HighContrast in ‘master’, but the ‘gtk-3-22’ behaviour is ok. Let’s say that’s a similar issue that you’ll notice anyway, so closing here.
