Description Allan Day 2016-03-16 09:46:49 UTC
I do a lot pasting text into web-based email composers (usually Gmail or Inbox). Often, formatting is preserved when copying text from webpages. This is pretty much always not what you want, and is not the behaviour you get with Chrome.

I agree, this is annoying. It's not how Firefox behaves either. My workaround is to paste it into gedit then from gedit to wherever I'm really trying to paste it; shouldn't have to do that.

It's a WebKit bug though, I think there's nothing to change in Epiphany. Do you have a bugzilla.webkit.org account (so you'll stay CCed) or do you want me to move it there?
