GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 76337
Trash icon should be in the lower right corner
Last modified: 2004-12-22 21:47:04 UTC
When I right-click on the desktop and select "Clean up by name", my home folder snaps back to the upper left, where it belongs, despite beginning with the letter V. But my Trash folder is last in the list. This is SORT OF where it belongs-- it certainly doesn't belong between Taxi_Driver_Sountrack and Ximian_Folders or something-- but its actual location moves around depending on the number of items in my Desktop. Ideally it would have a single fixed location. Like, say, the lower-right-hand-corner. Or something.
This is the same behavior it had in 1.x, right?
yeah this is the same as 1.0.x, probably should remove gnome2 keyword. personal note: I think defaulting the trash to the bottome right corner would be nice.
Apple users! a scourge on all your houses! ;) The real solution, of course, is snap-to-grid ;) Leaving Usability on here so we can make sure to tackle it in a 2.2 timeframe.
louie: I've never been an apple user, I liked pain too much and used windows ;)
renaming to "Trash icon should be in the lower right corner" to make the bug clearer. And yes louie, aaron is right don't make me go quote tog now... :)
