GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 76332
Panel crashes when 'startx' command is initiated (panel Crash at 209.154.234.59)
Last modified: 2004-12-22 21:47:04 UTC
Package: panel Version: 1.4.0.4 Severity: >Synopsis: Panel crashes when 'startx' command is initiated >Class: sw-bug System: RedHat 7.2 >Description: Dell CPxJ Laptop running RedHat 7.2 upgraded from RedHat 7.1. 128 MB RAM After installing programs as 'root'. modified the entries in the /etc/skel directory in order to allow login other than 'root'. After initial reboot and every boot thereafter, when the 'startx' command is given, the panel crashes at the end of the Gnome interface loading and splash screen. Since I did not explicitly change anything in the /root directory, I do not understand why the panel is now crashing. >How-To-Repeat: ------- Bug moved to this database by unknown@bugzilla.gnome.org 2002-03-25 16:29 ------- The original reporter (paul.riggs@wcom.com) of this bug does not have an account here.
