Description jeffjohnson0 2016-03-06 23:06:21 UTC
Start emacs in terminal mode (emacs -nw) to see that the End key as well as Control-End do the same thing. When using 'ctrl-q' to see the key codes, they send the same code (\eOF). This makes it difficult to go to the end of the file in a single keystroke. With XTerm, this works as expected. Also Ctrl-Home and Home both send the 'Home' key code.

Ubuntu 14.04, gnome-terminal 3.6.2.

This has been fixed for quite some time now. I recommend you to soon upgrade to 16.04, that one will have a much better gnome-terminal than 14.04 had.
