Description Daniel Aleksandersen 2016-02-26 00:30:42 UTC
Please add “Calendars…” either to the main menu or to the hamburger menu to make it easier to find.

I’ve looked for ways to modify existing and add new calendar sources in the hamburger menu and in the main menu before. Just days ago I discovered that the calendar-icon-button was a calendar-source button. This icon was really unintuitive; I assumed it was a view-switcher like you have in Nautilus where you can switch between list and grid view.

From looking at OS X’s Calendars, they’ve chosen to label the calendar-source button with the label “Calendars” rather than rely on an icon. A calendar icon doesn’t really clarify or convey any meaning anything inside a calendar app. Even after fixing this button, this button isn’t really the place for “Calendar Settings“ anyway.

I'm not convinced to add one more way to access the same dialog, to be honest.

I looked for this very dialog for almost three months without finding it. I never thought to click the calendar icon (as I said above, it carries no meaning inside a calendar app). If you don’t want it in two places, then move it out of that menu and into either the app menu or the hamburger menu.
