When in any selection mode with favourites (so anything with a per-song view), toggling the star requires 2 clicks and meanwhile the selection button toggles on and off per single click. Clicking the selection button does not display this behaviour.

This problem has been fixed in the unstable development version. The fix will be available in the next major software release. You may need to upgrade your Linux distribution to obtain that newer version.
