Description dev 2016-02-10 07:08:13 UTC
Files with roman numerals (U+2160 to U+U+217F) are not sorted properly.

I get the following ascending order:

Book Ⅰ.pdf
Book Ⅱ.pdf
Book Ⅲ.pdf
Book Ⅳ.pdf
Book Ⅸ.pdf
Book Ⅴ.pdf
Book Ⅵ.pdf
Book Ⅶ.pdf
Book Ⅷ.pdf
Book Ⅹ.pdf
Book Ⅺ.pdf

and also:

Book Ⅱz.pdf
Book Ⅳz.pdf
Book Ⅸz.pdf
Book Ⅰz.pdf

confirming that Nautilus consider roman numerals as vulgar letters and applies standard ordering on it.

GNOME is going to shut down bugzilla.gnome.org in favor of gitlab.gnome.org.
As part of that, we are mass-closing older open tickets in bugzilla.gnome.org (resources are unfortunately quite limited so not every ticket can get handled).

If you can still reproduce the situation described in this ticket in a recent
and supported software version of Files (nautilus), then please follow
  https://wiki.gnome.org/GettingInTouch/BugReportingGuidelines
and create a new ticket at
  https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/nautilus/-/issues/

Thank you for your understanding and your help.
