Screenshot of GDM login issue described in the bug report description

This bug was present in 3.16, is present in 3.18 (what I am currently running), and is present in 3.19. And the bug is that often when I click "Back" (though you might have to try this a few times to get this to happen) I get this and have to click "Back" again to get rid of the password box and buttons which stay on top: GDM_Error_Login.png (the screenshot is of my Ubuntu GNOME 16.04 32-bit VM running GNOME 3.19)

I initially filed a report on this issue here, but thought I should also do so upstream: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gdm/+bug/1543273

And obviously when I say "GDM_Error_Login.png" I mean the attached file.

I still see this bug sometimes with GNOME 3.22

Haven't seen this bug on GNOME 3.28 and Arch.
Comment 4 GNOME Infrastructure Team 2021-07-05 14:23:44 UTC
GNOME is going to shut down bugzilla.gnome.org in favor of gitlab.gnome.org.
As part of that, we are mass-closing older open tickets in bugzilla.gnome.org
which have not seen updates for a longer time (resources are unfortunately
quite limited so not every ticket can get handled).

If you can still reproduce the situation described in this ticket in a recent
and supported software version, then please follow
  https://wiki.gnome.org/GettingInTouch/BugReportingGuidelines
and create a new ticket at
  https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-shell/-/issues/

Thank you for your understanding and your help.
