Description Jan Vlug 2016-02-06 11:26:51 UTC
Currently in in Screen Lock dialog window there is the following sentence:
"Lock screen after blank for"
behind this sentence is a drop down list box with statements like:
"Screen Turns Off"
"30 seconds"
"1 minute"
This results in sentences like:
"Lock screen after blank for Screen Turns Off"
"Lock screen after blank for 30 seconds"
"Lock screen after blank for 1 minute"

I suggest wording like:
"Lock screen immediately after blank"
"Lock screen 30 seconds after blank"
"Lock screen 1 minute after blank"
Comment 1 Jan Vlug 2016-02-06 11:40:09 UTC
Or maybe even better:
"... after blanking of screen"

Also a reference that the blanking of the screen is set in the Power settings might be useful.

Used to be:
"Lock Screen After"

Got changed to:
"Lock Screen After Blank For"
Comment 3 André Klapper 2021-06-09 16:09:25 UTC
GNOME is going to shut down bugzilla.gnome.org in favor of gitlab.gnome.org.
As part of that, we are mass-closing older open tickets in bugzilla.gnome.org
which have not seen updates for a longer time (resources are unfortunately
quite limited so not every ticket can get handled).

If you can still reproduce the situation described in this ticket in a recent
and supported software version, then please follow
  https://wiki.gnome.org/GettingInTouch/BugReportingGuidelines
and create a new bug report at
  https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-control-center/-/issues/

Thank you for your understanding and your help.
