Description jkillelea344 2016-02-05 21:49:28 UTC
Changing icon size/zoom from the file browser (nautilus) causes the icon sizes on the desktop to scale as well. No way to adjust desktop icons independently.

Ubuntu 16.04 Alpha, Unity desktop

I have the same problem.
Comment 2 rquint 2016-11-04 16:14:26 UTC
This is now a problem after an upgrade to Ubuntu 16.10 with Nautilus version 3.20. Under 16.04 it was possible to set the icon size in folder windows independently. That is very useful when working with folders containing collections of images. Any chance of returning to the old behviour? Or perhaps creating a switch so the user has a choice of either behaviour?

I also preferred the old functionality.
Comment 4 António Fernandes 2018-05-09 19:10:16 UTC
This is no longer reproducible in nautilus 3.28.
