GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 759509
It is not possible to access files on the network
Last modified: 2015-12-18 14:22:10 UTC
For me only local drives are available in the file dialog. There is no possible to access network shares. I'm using Fedora 23.
Thanks for the bug report. The remote files are accessible via "Other Locations" in the side panel of the file chooser dialog. But to add new locations, I think you need to do it in Nautilus. It's anyway a GTK+ problem. It can be a major issue when using a GTK+ application outside GNOME…
Hi Sébastien, If one clicks on "other location" I just get my computer. It's not the same shares as I get with Nautilus. I use Gnome 3.18.2. I don't know much about which component is responsible for this issue. Once I asked an the guy from the file dialog: due to him the implementation of the supported services needs to be done by the application to show up. As other programs I use show the available shares, I don't think it's an configuration problem.
Strange, the remote locations are correctly shown in gedit, but don't appear in latexila. So I confirm the problem. I'll try to look at it soon.
Fixed: https://git.gnome.org/browse/latexila/commit/?id=8977f34d5954fd8088abc6c6f385450159011477 and backported to the gnmoe-3-18 branch, I'll release a new version soon.
Small things make a big difference :-)
