seems to fix the issue

Reading a bit other bug reports it seems that gettext.textdomain only impacts on python code when locale.textdomain impacts on C code as well, in any case that change makes the translations be displayed

It seems that adding domain attribute to interface tag, like <interface domain="d-feet">, in .ui files is an alternative solution.
