Description Ikey Doherty 2015-11-09 03:46:19 UTC
Vinagre 3.18.1 is unable to connect to a server on my LAN, i.e.:

vinagre vnc://192.168.1.1:5901

The change that broke Vinagre was this:
https://git.gnome.org/browse/vinagre/commit/?id=1b2df81a539dbdb629466cd1f670545d1b4768d6

Vinagre attempts an invalid ipv6 connection to a valid ipv4 address.
In short the patch needs more work.

Related in Fedora:
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1275750

I can confirm that reverting the patch in a 3.18.1 build makes it work properly again.

Already reverted in master and gnome-3-18 branches, and will be fixed in an upcoming release.
