Remembered VMWare was running on serial port needed for sync. Suspended machine Found curious little palm-sync icon in top menubar. clicked Nothing happened, clicked again Went to VMWare to determine bound serial device file Set serial to /dev/ttyS0 GNOME application manager comes up with same dialog as the setup routie I have been running for gnome-pilot. Cancel out of "extra" pilot setup dialogs GNOME tries to kill gnome-pilotd, some error is reported (?--sorry) Return to origional setup dialog. Crash and burn. Resume VMWare. Crash and burn (write this doc) Debugging Information: (no debugging symbols found)...0x4063f8e9 in __wait4 () from /lib/libc.so.6
