The new rename window in 3.18 is nice but renaming long files now is harder than before because you have to scroll to the right position. It would be better to show a larger window and this way show more of the actual file or folder name.

Same problem... Very annoying for long file names.... 

Could I suggest to compute the width of the rename window from the screen size... For example 80% of it ?
