Description Jo 2015-10-20 11:01:11 UTC
Gimp needs the same time to save smaller/bigger changes, so my question, why?
Gimp could save modifications in a more modern way.

1-write changes in as a separate tmp file
2- overwrite our original file with the changes written in the chunk file of point 1) in two ways (options):

a) running in the background, (meanwhile we work) stepwise, automatically, and every n-minutes
b)via shortcut, like the usual, old-baken way to save.

This is essentially a request for autosave, and some infrastructure
around it.
