Description Antoine Saroufim 2015-10-18 14:11:15 UTC
Photos becomes really slow when it starts syncing with Google. This is possibly due to my large library of photos on Google. Issue happening on 3.18.0 on openSUSE Tumbleweed.

There is one known source of sluggishness caused by GtkIconView.

Can you please get a backtrace (in the shell: $ gstach $(pidof gnome-photos) )? One way to reproduce the "just added a Google account" would be to re-add the account (and maybe ~/.cache/thumbnails), but it can cause Evolution to re-download all your emails.

I am assuming that was the case. If I am right then this has been solved by the port to GtkFlowBox.

Please do re-open if that's not the case.
