The new system status menu in 3.18 looks great. However, if the menu items are a bit longer, they are ellipsized. This can be a problem. For example in cs_CZ locale, the wi-fi label is ellipsized and does not actually show the status: the text says that "Wi-fi is hardware …", but it is not clear if it is enabled or disabled.

I did not find a way to get it to display the full text. There is no tooltip, clicking on it actually hides even more of it (by making it bold and therefore wider).

In my opinion, it would be better if the whole menu was wider rather than hiding important text.

This particular bug has already been reported into our bug tracking system, but we are happy to tell you that the problem has already been fixed in the code repository.
