Description Michael Schumacher 2002-03-20 19:57:17 UTC
Gimp version : latest 1.2.3 installer for Win32 from + LZW Upgrade + libgdk
upgrade from http://www2.arnes.si/~sopjsimo/gimp/

The cursor is set to 'Tool icon with crosshair'.

The icon itself is rendered totally black, its shape is intact, e.g. the
dashed box of rectangualr select is draw as a rectangle with a solid black
border.

There is an exception :

If the selected tool can't be applied, the icon stays/returns to normal.
For example, the move tool over a transparent image area or the clone tool
before the first Control-click.

The tool icons in the toolbox are shown correctly.
Comment 1 Nathan Summers 2002-12-03 21:01:20 UTC
Confirmed on Win2k with 1.2.3.
Comment 2 Tor Lillqvist 2002-12-03 23:08:34 UTC
Disconfirmed on Win2k with 1.2.4(pre) and a slightly newer GTK+ 1.3.0
than what is publicly available as binaries (but the changes
shouldn't be relevant to this)...
Comment 3 Raphaël Quinet 2002-12-04 08:09:02 UTC
What is the status of this bug, then? Should it be marked as FIXED?
Or is it necessary to investigate why some people see the bug and why
some others do not see it?
Comment 4 Michael Schumacher 2002-12-04 10:27:06 UTC
Still seeing this on Win98 and Win2k with 1.2.4.

Both systems have the same graphics card, a RIVA TNT2 M64.
Comment 5 Sven Neumann 2003-03-06 15:11:34 UTC
This is either a problem with the gfx card driver then or a GDK bug of
the Windows version.
Comment 6 Michael Schumacher 2003-06-28 10:59:47 UTC
It is gone. Looks like whatever has caused this was fixed in the
current release (that from
http://www.gimp.org/~tml/gimp/win32/downloads-20030620.html).

BTW, I've also seen this on a WinXP system with an Intel 82830M - it's
gone there, too.
Comment 7 Tor Lillqvist 2003-06-28 23:07:22 UTC
OK, resolving as FIXED then.
