capture of the preconfigured reports list on the alternate computer

So I have made some very useful preconfigured reports. I use one computer most often and with that computer I have access to the reports I have made. Now when I use a different computer on my network and load up my accounts, I do not have any preconfigured reports in my list.
I suggest making the preconfigured reports saved within the account files so that when you call up a set of accounts from an alternate computer on the network, the preconfigured reports follow with the same account files.

Or as an alternate solution with added benifits I suggest and option for exporting the "preconfigured reports" so they can be imported into any gnucash computer and used in any set of accounts.

Note that adding the Report configs to the account file would mean, that theay aren't available when using a different account file. Personally I wouldn't mind, since I only use one file, but others may see this different.

So an Option to Export Report configurations is probably the choice the least interruption for users.

I' have been pondering the idea of making the preconfigured reports part of the data file before and agree that would make most sense. Most people use it only them only for one data file.

I also agree some form of import/export would be a nice bonus.

Until such thing is developed you manually copy your saved report configurations from one pc to another as a workaround. They are stored in
c:\users\<your-user-name>\.gnucash\saved-reports-2.4

Copy this file to the same location on your second PC and the saved report configurations will be available on the next startup of gnucash.

I usually close each year's account file, and start a new one per year. So for me I would prefer and export option. Also this would be the most multi-purpose/functional way of dealing with it. I do think it's a good idea to save the preconfig files individually per user name though as presently it is; this way it is more secure and you wont have other users saving over your preconfigs.

Thank you Geert Janssens for showing the work around. I will use that for now. Thanks again.
