GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 756066
gnuCash 2.6.8 Cannot Save New File in Windows
Last modified: 2018-06-29 23:43:39 UTC
Just installed 2.6.8 When attempting to create a new file (XML) Pressing the Save As button locks up gnuCash. Must red-X close gnuCash. Trace File says: * 16:01:16 WARN <gnc.app-utils> Could not spawn perl: Failed to execute child process (No such file or directory) * 16:01:16 WARN <gnc.backend.dbi> [gnc_dbi_sqlite3_session_begin()] Sqlite3 file T:\Home\gnucash\Test2.gnucash not found * 16:02:01 WARN <Gtk> Could not find the icon 'gtk-file'. The 'hicolor' theme was not found either, perhaps you need to install it. You can get a copy from: http://icon-theme.freedesktop.org/releases * 16:02:13 CRIT <GLib> g_utf8_to_utf16: assertion 'str != NULL' failed I installed 2.6.7 and tested importing from Quicken in Test2 file. All worked. I then installed 2.6.8 and tried to create a new file for my 'real' import. Could not save the new file. I copied back the Test2 file and was able to open the Test2 file in 2.6.8. Then tried to create a new 'real' file in 2.6.8 and had the same error. I am on Windows 8.1. Thank you for all your help jakegraft
