Description Johann Glaser 2015-10-01 13:38:59 UTC
Since the upgrade to 3.16.5, the setting "Keep mails on server" for one of my POP3 accounts is ignored.

Actually, I can check the option in the preferences. But when I click [OK] and then edit the account settings again, the check is gone.

This bug deletes mails from my company mail server when reading mails from home, and I can't access these mails any more when at work. This is a serious problem.

Thanks for a bug report. By any chance, is your glib2 version 2.45.8 or later, please? If it is, then you face bug #755075.

Thanks for this insight. But actually I have glib2 version 2.46.0.

I didn't even have the mentioned version installed at any time, as my /var/log/aptitude suggests:
  libglib2.0-0:amd64 2.44.1-1.1 -> 2.46.0-1

That's the same thing. The 2.45.x is a development version of 2.46.x. It precedes the stable version.
