Description Andreas Henriksson 2015-09-15 15:12:29 UTC
Hello and thanks for gnome-taquin.

While packaging this for Debian I noticed there are a couple[1][2] of pictures licensed under CC-BY-SA 2.0. Unfortunately this particular version of the license (2.0) is not compatible with the Debian Free Software Guidelines and is thus considered "non-free". This prevents me from uploading the package to the main Debian archive. Would be really nice if you could find some alternative (CC-BY-SA 3.0 licensed?) artwork to avoid CC-BY-SA 2.0. Alternatively if you know where to reach the copyright holders, ask them if they're willing to license under CC-BY-SA 3.0. Would be very appreciated. Thanks.

PS. Thanks for nice documentation on artwork copyright holders and licenses.

Arnaud? I don't think this is gonna hit Debian or Ubuntu until this is addressed. :(

I tried to contact the copyright holders, but they didn’t answered; the two poor cats have been deleted, replaced by two new (licensed CC By-SA 3.0 & public domain).

Thanks Arnaud! I've updated the Debian packaging to 3.19.90 and will upload shortly. (Unfortunately I've hit a snag with package building using grep 2.23 which was just uploaded to debian (http://bugs.debian.org/814997) but I'll be uploading as soon as that is resolved which should start the NEW processing of the package and if I haven't made any grave mistakes it should soon after that be available in the debian archive + later synced to ubuntu).
