GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 754498
Add New Account dialog from transaction entry appears twice
Last modified: 2018-06-29 23:42:47 UTC
I have recently noticed that when I attempt to add a new account directly from a transaction, GnuCash asks if I would like to create the account two times, and then pops up the create account dialog twice. Accepting the prompt both times results in GnuCash informing me on the second time through that the account already exists. To duplicate, open a register, begin to add a transaction. At the Account prompt, enter a non-existent account and press <tab> GnuCash will then offer two dialog boxes. Not sure if this is a Mac-only error. OS C 10.10.5, GnuCash 2.6.7
Hmm, that's not happening when I try it. I tried typing Ex[penses]:Foo (GnuCash entered the bit in brackets) then tabbed out of the field. The "Do you want to create the account" dialog came up, I hit return, and the Edit Account Dialog came up with "Foo" already entered. Return dismissed it and focus was back in the Credit cell in the register where it belongs. What did you do?
