looks fuzzy on hidpi display
Comment 1 Kalev Lember 2015-08-30 20:02:33 UTC
We'd need a 512px icon for this to look sharp on hidpi. Right now gnome-software only ships icon sizes up to 256px.

it's also a lot bigger compared to icons in other apps about dialogs
Comment 3 Kalev Lember 2015-08-31 18:02:46 UTC
Right, I'm happy to fix it either way -- either by making it use a smaller icon so that it matches what other apps are doing, or fixing the current size to not be fuzzy on hidpi. What do you think is best?

If you think the 2nd option is better, I'll need a 512px icon png from you though :)
Comment 4 Andreas Nilsson 2015-09-01 11:42:22 UTC
I think the first option would be best so that all the about dialog icons are the same size.
I will work on a new 512px icon in parallel though, since we might need to use that in the future somewhere else.

Sounds like a plan! Thanks Andreas.

I've pushed the fix as https://git.gnome.org/browse/gnome-software/commit/?id=68b0c8c09fba00ae4b07491894e94889e4ba2cf6
