I agree on the issue, but I'm not going to change the art without a designer approval, especially as gnome-weather is in deep maintenance mode.
I'm going to dupe this on a bug that has some proposed new backgrounds. Please if you care about this ping Jakub and convince him to comment on the change. Thanks!
