GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 752631
Hairline-frame of selected resources in list view is barely visible
Last modified: 2018-05-24 15:29:05 UTC
the thin, black hairline-frame of selected resources in the list view (like patterns, ect.) is barely visible, especially when your deal with black/grey/white value patterns. A colored frame, following the highlight color of the current theme would help to understand which resource is selected. I saw the same applies to gradients, palettes, file history, brushes. Tool presets, dynamics, layers, journal have already the highlight color of selected items. A quick test: changing to another theme didnt help to solve this problem.
Any of the views uses the highlight color in list mode, and the black hairline in grid mode. Presets, dynamics, layers and journal do not offer a grid mode. Using the highlight color is probably trivial, but most likely not sufficient for these to really stand out - and covering the resources might also be the worse option for grid view.

Ah, i see. And if we add a small, truncated corner inside the frame, at one of the corners of the resource (icon), using the theme highlight color? like this: __ |/
