Description Daniel Fullum 2015-07-02 15:40:29 UTC
I upgraded from 2.6.6 to 2.6.7 on Windows 7 and all help documentation.
Can you fix 2.6.7 or tell me where to find the correct files so I can download and install them.
Thanks

At present if you manually uninstall 2.6.6 using Windows' uninstall routine from the control panel the fresh install 2.6.7 will succeed with the help files intact.

It appears that the problem with using the upgrade feature where Gnucash performs the uninstall, something goes wrong.

Copied from the mailing list:

Can you test http://code.gnucash.org/builds/win32/releases/gnucash-2.6.7-setup.exe, please? There was a problem with the build so I took a couple of shortcuts to get a Win32 bundle for the release. This URI is for the regular automatic build, which finished the following day. If it’s correct I’ll replace the bundle on sourceforge with this one.

I thoroughly tested both the published and John's link. John's link works every time.

I'll resolve this as fixed as it appears to have been due to a packaging error as described in Comment 2.

Please re-open this bug if you feel the proposed solution does not resolve the issue.

I have tested this build, as much as I can, and it works perfectly in my Windows 7 environment. It works over 2.6.6 and over the faulty 2.6.7 without pre uninstalling the already existing installation.

Thanks for your help.
