At a point, I got into the habit of running

xdg-open (some directory)

to look at it in nautilus. Now (with the versions described in the attachment), this mysteriously only works on the second attempt, which makes the process quite cumbersome.

Since the process produces no debug information, I'm a bit at a loss for how to debug this.

This bug has been fixed recently by the commit 9297474c33192fe210f0cbc9ffc349f19604516a.
