Description majko 2015-06-15 15:26:29 UTC
Hi all,

i'm finding one buig in my actual version of Gnome Shell (3.16.x, Fedora 22 release).

When I wan to logout from my actual user session, gnome shel showed me dialog box which informed me about logout process. When I press logout button, Gnome Shell disappeared, gdm with login screen does not showed.

This problem occured, when I use automatic user login feature in X server. This bug can not be showed, when Gnome run under Wayland compositor.

Steps to reproduce

1. Enable automatic login in Gnome Shell (standard user)
2. Restart linux distro (e.g. Fedora 22)
3. When current user has been loged and Gnome Shell has been started, logout current user via Gnome menu
4. Gnome Shell disapeeared and tty2 console has been showed...

GNOME is going to shut down bugzilla.gnome.org in favor of gitlab.gnome.org.
As part of that, we are mass-closing older open tickets in bugzilla.gnome.org
which have not seen updates for a longer time (resources are unfortunately
quite limited so not every ticket can get handled).

If you can still reproduce the situation described in this ticket in a recent
and supported software version, then please follow
  https://wiki.gnome.org/GettingInTouch/BugReportingGuidelines
and create a new ticket at
  https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-shell/-/issues/

Thank you for your understanding and your help.
