Description Nathan Rijksen 2015-06-11 16:26:13 UTC
Overall dark themes work well with gitg, except for parts of the UI where the content seems to be in HTML. eg.

https://db.tt/3CoXJAi1

It would be nice if these could respect the theme, or if you could provide your own colors (like gnome terminal).

Anyone?
Comment 2 jessevdk@gmail.com 2015-08-10 05:34:41 UTC
Yes this is an issue, but gitg development is slow (we have had issues standing for years).

Adwaita / Dark theme on Gnome 3 is OK,

but there is white text on "changed" lines in the patch preview. See http://bit.ly/1JJhHaa
Comment 4 Nathan Rijksen 2015-10-02 15:19:34 UTC
That's odd, it's still white for me even on Adwaita dark. I'm running gitg 3.17.1.
Comment 5 Ignacio Casal Quinteiro (nacho) 2015-10-02 15:27:31 UTC
Yes we need to detect if we are using a dark theme and change the diff colors accordignly

The meld tool had a similar issue and now it looks great on a dark theme.
You may want to ask them for a strategy?

This problem has been fixed in the unstable development version. The fix will be available in the next major software release. You may need to upgrade your Linux distribution to obtain that newer version.
