Description Stefano Facchini 2015-06-09 10:05:33 UTC
I'd like to know which channels a user is connected to, maybe in the details and/or in the output of /whois
Comment 1 Florian Müllner 2015-08-20 14:54:36 UTC
I briefly discussed this when implementing details in the user list, and I think it was Jakub who called it a "stalker feature" ;-)
Including that information when implementing the /whois command makes more sense to me - in the user list, we know at least *one* channel where the user can be contacted, the same isn't true for the command line. Still, marking as ui-review for the designers to chime in ...

The /whois IRC command is useful for determining if a user is online in case they aren't in the same channel. In the absence of the /whois command a "friend list" would be useful for tracking online status of friends.

Comment 5 André Klapper 2021-06-10 11:04:38 UTC
GNOME is going to shut down bugzilla.gnome.org in favor of gitlab.gnome.org.
As part of that, we are mass-closing older open tickets in bugzilla.gnome.org
which have not seen updates for a longer time (resources are unfortunately
quite limited so not every ticket can get handled).

If you can still reproduce the situation described in this ticket in a recent
and supported software version of Polari, then please follow
  https://wiki.gnome.org/GettingInTouch/BugReportingGuidelines
and create a new ticket at
  https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/polari/-/issues/

Thank you for your understanding and your help.
