GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 750514
Remove the gpg-agent
Last modified: 2016-07-10 12:12:39 UTC
Work has been done in GnuPG pinentry so that it will support prompting via gnome3 system modal dialogs, and optional caching of passphrases in gnome-keyring (via libsecret). The incomplete GPG agent in gnome-keyring should be removed in favor of the upstream the GnuPG pinentry.
Created attachment 304722 [details] [review] daemon: Remove the GnuPG agent The GnuPG agent is incomplete and incompatible with many uses of GnuPG 2.x. There is a new pinentry that replaces this. It prompts via system modal dialogs, and allows optional caching of passphrases.

I wrote an email to distributor-list to ensure everyone packages pinentry 0.9.5 with libsecret and gnome3 support.
