GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 750010
Account name is renamed to Unnamed
Last modified: 2015-08-05 09:39:53 UTC
Created attachment 304129 [details] Before and after editing evolution folders Hi, When I add a new IMAP/SMTP account in GOA, Evolution shows my address in the left view part. When I change some settings on it, for example the Sent or Drafts folder and I click Apply, the account is then renamed "Unnamed" with no way to get it named correctly. In the attachment you can see before and after changing some settings. Is there a workaround to manually change the name back?
This also happens with Evolution 3.16.3 (In Fedora 22). I experience this when using Exchange through Gnome-Online-Accounts, and change the 'listen for server changes'. So it seems to generally break whenever something is changed outside the GOA settings page.
I can also confirm this for GOA 3.16 and evolution 3.12.11 Maybe a problem due to the different (=old evolution) versions?

You mean the "Listen for server change notifications" check box under "Receiving Options"?
Yes. This happened just now as I changed the setting on my Debian testing system, Evolution 3.16.3. So definitely not a distribution specific bug.
I tried changing a few settings via evolution but could not reproduce the problem. Now this system of mine has become a horrific mix of Fedora 21 and GNOME 3.16, so I am not entirely sure. While I try to reproduce this on a pristine Fedora 22 system, could one of you please do this: 1) Run d-feet. 2) Go to Session Bus. 3) Select/search for org.gnome.OnlineAccounts. 4) Expand the /org/gnome/OnlineAccounts/Accounts/account_xxxxxx entry that corresponds to your email account. Email account will have an org.gnome.OnlineAccounts.Mail interface. 5) Expand the org.gnome.OnlineAccounts.Account interface of this account. 6) Check the values Identity and PresentationIdentity. Thanks!
Never mind. Milan thinks that it is a bug in evolution / evolution-data-server. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 732598 ***
