GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 750009
Desktop notifications not work in Slack Web
Last modified: 2015-09-23 09:48:00 UTC
When you enter in Slack web, Epiphany always asks for enable desktop notifications. If you enable it, dot't work and don't remember the setting.
Thanks for taking the time to report this. This particular bug has already been reported into our bug tracking system, but please feel free to report any further bugs you find. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 749792 ***
I don't think this is bug #749792. Here it sounds like WebKitGTK+ *was* built with notification support. I see two bugs: * The notifications "don't' work." Notifications work peachy fine on other sites (e.g. https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/demos/detail/html5-notifications is a good test), so I would report this to Slack. If they think it's a WebKit bug or ignore you, then try bugzilla.webkit.org (please leave a link to the WebKit bug here). * The setting is not remembered. This is bug #748339.
OK then, reopening.
I try now with version 3.16.3 and Slack notifications work perfect now. The only issue that still remains is bug #748339 cause the permission setting is not remembered.
