Description noonien 2015-05-27 21:52:52 UTC
Hi everyone,

while I like the new (3.16) message tray design in general, I'm missing the possibility to continue a chat within the message tray without the need to open an empathy window.

This is not possible as of gnome 3.16, because the input field is only visible when an incoming message banner is displayed. A click on the message changes focus to empathy and disturbs my current work / window layout or.

Any ideas?

BR,

Ferdinand

Hi,

I have exactly the same issue.

That was something I found really nice in previous gnome shell chat integration !

@Ferdinand, did you find a solution for this ?

@gnome-developers, @gnome-designers any idea about how this could be implemented ?
