GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 749705
Lock screen clock digits are clipped
Last modified: 2015-11-04 20:05:25 UTC
Created attachment 303789 [details] A screenshot of the graphical glitch. The lock screen clock's digits are clipped on my installation. I am running OpenSUSE Tumbleweed with GNOME Shell 3.16.2.
Are you using any extensions and/or third party gnome-shell theme? Does this happen on "clean" user account?

I can replicate this too. No extensions at all (not even gnome-shell-extensions package is installed). Clean user account. This is the first time I install gnome on this computer. http://i.imgur.com/kywh9DH.png Notice parts of the 3s are cropped.
I see the same issue with font rendering on lock screen appearing clipped. See attachment. I created a new 'guest' account, and observed the same issues on the lock screen when I locked from that account. Arch GNOME Shell 3.16.3

Hello :) Since more than one person answered the original question, should this still be marked as 'Needinfo'? Thank you.
This is a freetype bug that should by fixed by http://git.savannah.gnu.org/cgit/freetype/freetype2.git/commit/?id=b650dfbb0b0700440cc88da31f97cec45b4140de
That patch fixed it. Thank you very much.

This appears fixed on Arch (as of Nov 4th, 2015). I'm on freetype2 2.6.1-1 which was released in repo on 2015-10-04.
