Description Dustin Spicuzza 2015-05-17 20:20:05 UTC
Addition to http://gstreamer.freedesktop.org/apps/:

Exaile (http://www.exaile.org/) is a cross platform music player for GTK+ written in Python.

Thanks!

It seems Exaile still depends on GStreamer 0.10, which has been unmaintained for years now, and it also depends on some third party 0.10 'sdk' for other operating systems. It does not seem to me like this is something we should advertise on the GStreamer website and point people to. (Besides, that whole page will probably be reviewed and/or go away soon anyway, too much outdated stuff on there).
Comment 2 Dustin Spicuzza 2015-05-17 20:44:58 UTC
Exaile is being ported to GST 1.x for its next release (https://github.com/exaile/exaile/issues/3) and doesn't require any third party components on Linux. I'll comment back here once the port is done.

FWIW, the 0.10 'SDK' is built using an earlier version of the tools GStreamer currently uses to build official 1.x releases for 'other' platforms anyways, so that's a bad disqualifier by itself. :)

Great to hear it!
