GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 749384
Ctrl-PageDn in template transaction locks up GUI
Last modified: 2018-06-29 23:40:51 UTC
Created attachment 303374 [details] gdb output If I press Ctrl-PageDn while editing the template transaction in the scheduled transaction editor, the GUI locks up completely (it's not possible to do anything in the scheduled transaction editor or the main GnuCash window --- that includes saving) and the gnucash process in top runs up to 99 to 100% of CPU. I've tried leaving it to "settle" for up to 10 minutes with no effect. The only possibility is to kill it (either with the kill command or by clicking the X in the window title bar and taking the "force quit" option) and then re-enter any lost data. I've attached a stacktrace generated by reproducing the bug and pressing Ctrl-C in gdb when it locks. I'm using Ubuntu 14.10 with the 1:2.6.3-1build1 version of gnucash. I plan to upgrade to 15.04 in the next week or two and will test this again and report back.
It's been a month: Did you find time for the upgrade?
After upgrading to Ubuntu 15.04, including gnucash package 1:2.6.4-3ubuntu1, I can no longer reproduce this bug. I guess it's fixed then! Thanks.
Great! Thanks for reporting back.
