This idea arises from many Android players showing a battery indicator (or main panel) in full screen mode. I think a plugin could help, since not all computers are mobile.

Bug 695352 is about solving that problem, because, once you add the battery indicator, should we also add a network indicator if you're streaming the video? And then the VPN indicator if you're working around geoblocking? And then the system volume?

I think you can see where I'm going. We'd just end up replicating system status information that should be available already.
