Description Robert Keizer 2015-05-12 14:32:21 UTC
Greetings,

As per the Mirrors wiki page ( https://wiki.gnome.org/Sysadmin/Mirrors ) I'm creating this bug report and requesting access to master.gnome.org for the purposes of setting up a new mirror.

The mirror is owned and maintained by the Manitoba Unix User Group ( MUUG ). We are currently populating a ~40TB mirror that is connected at 1Gbit. We'll be upgrading that link to 10Gbit in the next few years as demand grows.

The mirror is located in Winnipeg Manitoba Canada.

An administrative contact that can be used for these purposes is board@muug.mb.ca .

Thanks!

I've sent the password for accessing master.gnome.org your way. Once a full rsync run has run please let me know so I can include the mirror on our rotation. Please provide me both the rsync and http urls if possible.

Thanks!

Hey Robert, was the first rsync run successful?
Comment 3 Robert Keizer 2015-05-18 15:40:48 UTC
We just moved the server to a 10Gbit connection; I'm finishing the rsync now, it had started but got stopped for the move.

Thanks for the ping.

Thanks! was the rsync run successful? can you please provide me the rsync and http urls we can include on our mirroring service?
Comment 5 Robert Keizer 2015-05-25 14:51:20 UTC
The rsync looks good.

We're not running an rsync server at the moment, although we can in the future without too much trouble.

The URL's are below

http://muug.ca/mirror/gnome
ftp://muug.ca/mirror/gnome/

All the best,
Rob
