Description Judson 2015-05-11 21:19:27 UTC
Using meld as a git difftool, comparing directories where files have changed names.

Meld considers the directory change to be equivalent to removing the old name and creating the new name, which conceals any changes that have happened in addition to the name change.

Given that Meld can't know the difference between delete/create and rename, it would be nice to have an interface akin to sync points in filediff to tell meld to compare arbitrary files in a dirdiff view.

Agreed. This request has been around for ages, and just not acted upon.
