Description Darcy 2015-05-05 03:49:13 UTC
BUG:

Changing brightness / volume / keyboard brightness using the Wayland login screen results in a very large pop icon compared to the normal desktop under X.

Fedora 22 beta and GNOME 3.16.
Comment 1 Ben 2015-10-12 16:28:59 UTC
Same in GNOME 3.18
Comment 2 Christian Hergert 2016-04-16 04:36:45 UTC
Still happening on wayland session on 3.20.

Unsurprisingly, this affects my Xorg session too on a HiDPI machine.
Comment 5 Ruud van Asseldonk 2016-04-18 14:28:25 UTC
I am experiencing this issue since 3.20.0, and still on 3.20.1. In 3.18.4 it worked fine for me. The screenshot in comment 3 looks exactly like what I am seeing now.
Comment 6 Darcy 2019-09-16 14:13:56 UTC
This specific case has been fixed but the issue still exists in another form. With a multiple monitor setup (1 HiDPI and the other 'normal' in portrait mode), the notifications are not scaled correctly, see attachment.

Comment 8 GNOME Infrastructure Team 2021-07-05 14:23:26 UTC
GNOME is going to shut down bugzilla.gnome.org in favor of gitlab.gnome.org.
As part of that, we are mass-closing older open tickets in bugzilla.gnome.org
which have not seen updates for a longer time (resources are unfortunately
quite limited so not every ticket can get handled).

If you can still reproduce the situation described in this ticket in a recent
and supported software version, then please follow
  https://wiki.gnome.org/GettingInTouch/BugReportingGuidelines
and create a new ticket at
  https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-shell/-/issues/

Thank you for your understanding and your help.
