GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 748861
Cannot render video without audio, input being OGV without audio
Last modified: 2015-05-04 09:23:56 UTC
Created attachment 302830 [details] Archive with artifacts used to demonstrate the bug. It is not possible to render a video without audio, the project uses an OGV file without audio. Here are the steps: 1) Create a new project. New project settings does not allow creating project without audio. So selected default setting of Stereo with 44.1Khz. 2) Import test.ogv which is a video file in OGV format without any audio. 3) Drag video to timeline. 4) Click the render button. On Audio tab of Render Dialog, ensure that Enable audio IS NOT selected. 5) Click render button. The generated output.ogv has audio with 2 channels although no audio was enabled. Please refer to output.mediainfo for details of generated output. The created video has an audio channel. Please add support to create projects without audio channel. Also add support for rendering a project so that resulting video does not have any audio channel. The attached archive has following: 1) TestAudio.xges: Test project 2) test.ogv: Imported test video (without audio) 3) test.mediainfo: Result of mediainfo test.ogv > test.mediainfo 4) output.ogv: Resulting output video (has 2 audio channels) 5) output.mediainfo: Result of mediainfo output.ogv > output.mediainfo Platform: uname -a: Linux 3.13.0-49-generic #83-Ubuntu SMP Fri Apr 10 20:11:33 UTC 2015 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux Pitivi version: 0.93 (also exists in 0.94 using latest build on 2015/05/03
