GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 748789
ftpadmin install fails when package has numbers in name
Last modified: 2015-06-07 18:38:18 UTC
It is not possible to install a package with numbers in its name, e.g. gnome-2048. The log is as follows: $ ftpadmin install gnome-2048-3.17.1.tar.xz Gathering information and sorting on version: ., done Preparing installation of gnome-2048-3.17.1.tar.xz: - Checking consistency: ., failed ERROR: Files not in the correct directory (expected gnome-3.17.1/, found gnome-2048-3.17.1/)
Could you email the tarball to ovitters@gmail.com? Can also attach to this bug if less than 1MB. I only need it for testing.
Created attachment 303954 [details] GNOME 2048 proposed tarball Here is the offending tarball.
Fixed in https://git.gnome.org/browse/sysadmin-bin/commit/?id=94488ad398ef4293b80914c48d1321062ff1ca12. Please try again.
I get this: Module: gnome Version: 2048-3.17.1 (previous version: N/A) Destination: /ftp/pub/GNOME/sources/gnome/2048-3.17.1/
aargh. Please try again.
Now it worked. Thank you very much!
