Reported downstream (against 3.8 in RHEL7, but still applies):

When I do any calculation and get the result, i want to use the result and continue in calculation, but I cannot use short form of multiplication (without the "star" symbol)

gcalctool-6.4.2.1-1.el7.x86_64

How reproducible:
100%

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Type 5*10 and confirm
2. Press [cos] and "Pi" button (you should have "50cos Pi")
3. Confirm
  
Actual results:
Unknown variable 'anscos'

Expected results:
-50 (if you have Angle units set to Radians)
