Debug output

With Gnome-Boxes 3.16 on archlinux, USB redirection doesn't work. I don't have any error message, and debug output attached to this message doesn't show any spice error. USB work with spicy client.

My system :
MacBook 13 late 2013
16Gb or RAM
Archlinux with 3.19.3 Kernel and Gnome 3.16

This is likely a duplicate of bug#747600.

After some conversation, we agreed that the other bug is unclear and thus we keep this open for tracking USB redirection not working.

Ok, thank you. Tell me if you need more informations.
Comment 4 Lasse Schuirmann 2015-04-29 21:21:12 UTC
Actually I can reproduce this bug with Boxes 3.16 on ArchLinux and Fedora.

Seems broken for me too with gnome-boxes and spice-gtk from git master on F21. I'll investigate soon..

Turns out this is also being caused by

https://git.gnome.org/browse/gnome-boxes/commit/?id=fb04e17a7dac24ecb14b2b0d252f025841cef075

Don't know if its a spice issue or Boxes, i'll talk to spice devs.
Comment 7 Zeeshan Ali 2015-04-29 23:00:25 UTC
elmarco has a fix for spice-gtk already and I tested it. Hopefully the fix will get into spice-gtk soon and will be available in the next spice release.

There might actually be a few more issues with usb redirection: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=90286

I was told to respond here so here goes. I thought 0.28 was the release with the fix.
Comment 11 Zeeshan Ali 2015-06-08 15:59:35 UTC
FYI while spice-gtk has not seen an upstream release and developers don't believe in releasing to get fixes out, the fixes had been ported to Fedora 22 so please point that out to your distro packagers so they also include those fixes too.
