GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 748639
Port to OpenCV 3.0
Last modified: 2018-08-17 19:45:24 UTC
OpenCV 3.0 RC1 was released on 2015-04-24. Initial list of things to update: * Travis-CI scripts * Prerequisite install scripts * README.md (possibly)
OpenCV 3.0 has been released. Skip RC1 and go straight to 3.0.
I'm stuck on compiling OpenCV 3.0.0. OpenCV 3.0.0-beta was compiling on my Fedora 20 and on Travis-CI's Ubuntu [1]. OpenCV 3.0.0-beta - [YES] My Fedora 20 - [YES] Travis-CI's Ubuntu OpenCV 3.0.0 compiles on my Fedora 20, but not on Travis-CI's Ubuntu [2]. OpenCV 3.0.0 - [YES] My Fedora 20 - [NO] Travis-CI's Ubuntu My next step would be to try under Ubuntu in a VM. But I'm out of time (for now). I'm removing myself from this ticket in case someone else wants to take it on before I can get back to it. How important is this? Personally, I think it is important to keep up with the development branch of OpenCV. That way when they release their latest version, we are ready for it, and users don't have to wait for us to catch up. Therefore, I'm bumping the priority to high. mousetrap is not under active development anymore since 2015. Its codebase has been archived: https://gitlab.gnome.org/Archive/mousetrap/commits/master Closing this report as WONTFIX as part of Bugzilla Housekeeping to reflect reality. Please feel free to reopen this ticket (or rather transfer the project to GNOME Gitlab, as GNOME Bugzilla is deprecated) if anyone takes the responsibility for active development again.
