On the page http://www.gimp.org/devel_cvs.html one is instructed to get the
latest stable branch by spefifying the tagname "GIMP-1-2".

$ cvs -z3 co -r GIMP-1-2 gimp
cvs [server aborted]: no such tag GIMP-1-2

I had no problems getting the HEAD branch however...

Yep, branches are lower-case (with the exception of the HOLLYWOOD
branch  that violates this naming convention). I have fixed the web page.

Fixed again (updated the old file that was restored after the disk
crash).

Changing all www.gimp.org bugs from gimp product to the gimp-web product,
including old closed/fixed bugs, and reassigning.
